What would happen if we did not have ALASD?

What would happen if we did not have ALASD?

Raw Sewage would be disposed of into lakes and streams causing pollution and disease. ALASD treats the polluted water by removing harmful pathogens and pollutants thus preventing degradation to both aquatic animals and human population! ALASD also removes 99% of phosphorus which protects the lakes from eutrophication (excess algae, odors, reduction of oxygen and disease of fish).

 DID YOU KNOW:

Our physical and biological processes closely duplicate how our wetlands, lakes and rivers naturally purify water.

ALASD has 222 MILES of gravity sewer lines and another 52 miles of force main sewer!

We serve over 100 square miles and 4,522 manholes.
