Minnesota Wastewater Monitoring Program Recognition & Information

ALASD has been part of the Minnesota Wastewater Monitoring Program where we test for Influenza A/B, RSV and Covid-19. This is a voluntary program that a number of other cities are involved in also. The Minnesota Department of Health recognized ALASD for their efforts and continued efforts in running these tests.

The Minnesota Department of Health is using this data to quickly visualize whether a pathogen is present in a community, show trends over time by region, show trends in disease levels, compare wastewater trends for Covid-19 statewide hospitalization trends, measles and RSV monitoring.
